Download and browse this 36-page report for information about turkey population status, harvest results, brood survey and bowhunter observation survey results, and a north Missouri turkey research project update.
Each year, citizen volunteers and MDC staff record the number of wild turkey hens and poults they observe during June, July, and August. Staff use these observations to determine hatch success, and therefore fall turkey abundance.
MDC protects and manages Missouri's fish, forest, and wildlife resources. We also facilitate your participation in resource-management activities, and we provide opportunities for you to use, enjoy and learn about nature. Read more about our mission.
